SHORT TOUR TO SANCERRE
5th-8th June 2025

Our 2025 short tour will be in the beautiful town of Sancerre, in the Loire Valley. The region is famed for its delicious white wines, made from the Sauvignon Blanc, but there are some Pinot Noirs too which we will be sampling. We will be staying in the stunning Le Panoramic Hotel which, like it's name suggests, has amazing views over the surrounding vineyards. Guests can enjoy a drink in the wine cave, a swim in the outdoor pool and a buffet breakfast each day. Activities will include visits to six of the best wineries, cheese-making at a goat farmhouse and there will be dinners at Michelin Guide restaurants. The weekend will include:

  • 3 nights bed and breakfast at the Le Panoramic Hotel www.panoramic-hotel.fr

  • Dinners on Thursday and Saturday nights at Restaurant Famille Bourgeois and La Recreation Gourmande, both featured in the Michelin Guide. 

  • Trips to Chateau de Tracy, Firmin Dezat, Jean Max Roger, Jean-Paul Balland, Stephanie & Arnaud Dezat and Jean Pabiot et Fils.

  • Visit to a goat farmhouse to see goats used for the famous Chavignol cheese.

  • Drinks reception overlooking the vineyards at Le Panoramic Hotel.

  • Coach transfers to wineries and activities.

  • Coach transfers to and from Charles de Gaulle airport, Paris. Times to be confirmed. Please note flights are not included.

The price of the event is £620 per person based on two people sharing a Standard Double or Twin Room, with a single supplement of £218.40. The non-refundable and non-transferable deposit payable on booking is £150 per person, with the balance payable by 1 May 2025. CHWC ANNUAL DINNER
23rd June 2025

The popular Annual Dinner for 2025 will be held in Liverpool's historic and elegant Racquet Club. A delicious four course meal will be served alongside carefully selected wines from Tanners which will be discussed by the engaging and amusing Robert Boutflower, Private Sales Director of Tanners Wines.

The price of the event is £105 per person and tickets tend to sell fast so book now to avoid missing out on the culinary and social event of the year. Places are not guaranteed until full payment is received and purchases are not refundable.

MAIN TOUR TO NORTH WEST SPAIN - GALICIA & BIERZO
29th Sept-4th Oct 2025

The 2025 main tour will be to North West Spain, a stunning area which encompasses the main wine regions of Bierzo and Galicia (specifically Ribeira Sacra and Rias Biaxas). Our group will fly into Santiago de Compostela, and will visit wineries whilst travelling through the dramatic landscape of dense forests, green hills, terraced vineyards, cliffs and rias (tidal estuaries).  A highlight of the trip will be a guided boat tour on the Río Sil at Bodegas Algueira in Ribeira Sacra, where we will experience the stunning views of the terraced vineyards from the dramatic gorge. On our tour we will be staying at the Hotel Aroi Ponferrada https://www.aroihoteles.com/hotel-aroi-ponferrada/ in the Bierzo region for 2 nights, and the Gran Talaso Hotel Sanxeno  www.hotelsanxenxo.com  in Galicia for 3 nights. (Both hotels are rated 4 stars). The itinerary will include:

  • Day 1: Meet and greet at the airport by our guide, winery visit and lunch en route to Ponferrada.  We will visit an amazing small producer who makes unique, limited edition wines in a cellar-cave from the XV century.  A 3 course tasting dinner (drinks excluded) follows in Ponferrada town centre in the evening.

  • Day 2: Full-day guided wine tour in Bierzo visiting two wineries and including lunch.  Evening free.

  • Day 3: Visit to the Ribeira Sacra region including a tour of the prestigious Bodegas Algueira Estate, where we will cruise on the river immersed in the stunning beauty of the vineyards, and have lunch at the winery.  There is a 3 course tasting dinner with wine at the hotel in the evening.

  • Day 4: Full-day guided wine tours in Rias Baixas visiting two wineries and including lunch.  Evening free.

  • Day 5: free morning in Sanxenxo to explore independently, followed by a light lunch and afternoon of tour and tastings at an exclusive local winery.  A traditional tasting dinner (drinks excluded), will be held at a local restaurant in Sanxenxo that evening.

  • Day 6: Check out and transfer back to Santiago de Compostela Airport.

Flights to and from Santiago de Compostela are not included in the tour price. You are advised not to incur personal costs, eg for international travel, until the event organiser has confirmed that the event has sufficient bookings to be viable. The price of the tour includes private chauffeured transport and use of a guide throughout. 

 

The price of the event is £2,185 per person based on two people sharing with a single person supplement to be advised on request (expected £420-450).  The non-refundable and non-transferable deposit payable on booking is £420 per person, with the balance payable by 24th July 2025. Payment by BACS is preferred – bank details will be provided to those who book.
